Germany Playtest July 3 & 5

On my summer trip to Germany, I was fortunate to playtest GridCore with family and friends. Both of my nephews gave incredible feedback—enough to spark major changes—and it meant the world that they spent part of our short time together helping me shape the game.

Big takeaways & changes

• New slogan: Ready. Choose. Play the Grid. ✅

• New zonker mechanisms: magnet-spiral “Zonker” mini-game + new Crash Cards.

• Component updates: new Gameplay cards with “Ready,” a Reveal sleeve labeled “Choose,” and a game board with eight “Play the Grid” slots.

• Many small Rule tweaks: for example, no Picker means no die roll. Lots of little things now work better.

• Card content: many answer choices tweaked—these improvements always make a HUGE difference. ✅

• Resonance Token house rule from my childhood friend—lets players make up their own action once per game if none of the six fits.
